Welcome to Centennial Singers

Centennial Singers

We are a voluntary community chorus of people drawn from all walks of life and come from communities throughout Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.  Founded in 1975  by Lonny and Nancy Strang, the group now averages 50 members each session.

United by our love of music and a desire to sing, we rehearse Tuesday evenings in the McDonald Elementary School located at Reeves Lane and Street Road in Warminster.  Although we do not have auditions, our members range from little or no musical training to some very talented singers with considerable experience.

Free community concerts are given at Log College Middle School in December and June.  The December concert features holiday music, while our spring concert is more varied.  Our repertoire includes folk, popular, spirituals, show music, ballads, classical, religious, and novelty selections.  In addition to our two main concerts, we perform four to six concerts prior to these at retirement communities such as Ann's Choice, Southampton Estates, Lafayette Redeemer, Normandy Farms and Brittany Pointe.  We also sing at the Warminster Memorial Day ceremonies and have a float in the Southampton Days Parade on the Fourth of July each year.

In addition to singing, we enjoy various social events during the year.  These include pizza parties, a banquet, a summer swim party, bus trips to dinner theaters, etc., which help to bond our members into a close family.  This is a fun group and we invite you to join us in the fall.  Our rehearsals will begin the first Tuesday after Labor Day.
